HTTP v HTTPS

Hi, I sell on Ebay and use SlicPic to host my photos. Ebay have just sent me a message saying my pictures hosted at SlicPic are not secure and as a result Ebay will be displaying a “NOT SECURE” warning on all my listings…has anyone else had this issue? Apparently it is something to do with HTTP being generated by SlicPic instead of HTTPS?

All links generated by SlickPic are HTTPS based.

Well, “NOT SECURE” is a misleading statement. What exactly has to be secure in order to display a public photo available to anyone to see? Yesterday eBay changed their policy and the only protocol they allow now is HTTPS. The previous 10 years they didn’t have problems with that. Nevertheless, we’ve made changes today that will go live tomorrow morning and all new links from now on will have the now required HTTPS protocol. You would need to grab new links to replace the HTTP links.
